If you don't get this movie and what it is about see Romancing the Stone, or The Jewel of the Nile.
Once you see those movies you will understand that this movie is just an updated version of them.

What is wrong with you people?It is called escapism!!! I and Shelly thought it was romantic and well done.So what if a naive California girl saves a country and a revolution and rises up to the task and saves the life of the man she loves??? Can't you enjoy a feel-good movie? She was a HEROINE!!!!!!

I think if you look back at the post that were from several years ago you will see that we all enjoyed the movie. In fact someone rented the movie because of my post.
