I would like this to come out with English subtitles and in PAL formatting. NTSC is the formatting for DVD players in North/South America and its Region 1 only.

reply

hehehe take up Spanish

reply

Is it released at all in Canada? Because I can't find it anywhere. With or without subtitles.

reply

Hm. I got it from Spain, the Spanish version's got English subtitles, convieniently enough.

It's PAL zone 2, so maybe that doesn't work for any of you... Four words of bliss: Region free dvd player!

Everything is fine! I was just swinging from a chandelier without a seat belt.

i got it in german w/ subtitles :D

I must agree with LADY! In Canada and the US? Fork over a few dollars for an ALL REGION DVD player - believe me - you will not regret. See all those foreign films that you will NEVER see released here in North America - of course you will have to purchase the DVDs - but again, if you are a fan and just dying to experience - buy buy buy. ALL REGION machines can be purchase for around $100 and up. Look for 'em on The Web - xploitedcinema.com has a link to a nice company to deal with here in the States. CHEERS!

okay so i brought the movie on amazon.com with english subtitles but, it said that i had the wrong region on my dvd player so that sucks

All region DVD players?

In Australia all DVD players are shipped to play region 4 disks only, but everyone who buys a player expects that it will play DVDs from any region after pressing a few keys. (On one brand I recall, you click something like "Play" then "31416" then "Enter" and the machine will play any disk.) If your retailer doesn't give you the "region hack" then you'll find it on the web.

So if you have a one-region player, I suggest searching the web: after 30 seconds of fiddling, you may well find that your player already is an all-region player.

It's great news for all of you who doesn't speaks spanish. Finally you are going to enjoy this movie with english subtitles.

Just one warning: if you are gonna buy a PAL DVD but your TV Set is NTSC, then even if you have a multi-region player it's not a bad idea to test it first, because not all of the Multi-region players can't output a NTSC signal from a PAL DVD or the TV can only accept a NTSC Signal. If that is the case you will only see a black screen, lines and and more lines and in the best of cases: the movie in B&W.

Some DVD players can succesfully convert a PAL signal into a NTSC one. Or some TV sets can do it, but many can't.

So be aware and test first your equipment.
Anyway if Nicotina's PAL DVD is inexpensive maybe you won't bother too much if it doesn't work.
