I'm curious about the George Clooney fascination (excellent taste, by the way) of the Mirren character. I'm wondering if they dubbed his name in for American audiences. Was there a British actor used in the UK version? He seemed to be mentioned too many times to be dubbed, but I make myself crazy wondering about these things so I'll just ask someone.

Same goes for the quick Jennifer Aniston reference.

No, Clooney is part of the original dialogue. There's no dubbing. Clooney is well known in the U.K.

Both George Clooney and Jennifer Aniston have huge followings in the UK thanks to Friends and ER being extremely popular.

I found it a bit strange as well. I mean, is there any lack of sexy, widely known actors in the UK.

Of course, but that wouldn't be so funny. For the joke to work the object of her desire has to be exotic and utterly unobtainable.
