Anyone seen it? it's from the same makers as bumfights but it's not listed on the IMDB... if you thought bumfights was strong you ain't seen nothing yet, it's like traces (not faces) of death but worse, one of the stronger real death videos.
The thing with those movies is - once you watch one, the thrill is gone. No movie will ever scare you even a little again, and you'll never get the thrill you know, ever. Movies get less funny after that too. And life gets less funny.
That stuff should all be banned. I can choose not to watch it but, come on, if that stuff was easy to find back when I was 12 I would've watched tons and tons of it and I would be totally unthrillable and my sense of humor would be destroyed, i'd be so numb. Thankfully that stuff didn't get common-place until I was around 18 - by which time I was no longer dumb enough to watch it. I guess faces of death was there and I heard about it when I was 12 or so, but I didn't see it because it wasn't easy to find, you pretty much had to mail order it to get it, it was on almost no shelves. It was a rare 'legendary' movie and not something you could just walk into a store and get.
So now even at almost 21, I can still get shocked and even scared by good horror flicks, and laugh my head off at funny stuff - in life as well as movies. It would suck to be totally numb at 12 years old which is probably when I would've seen my first real death flick if you could get them at almost any video store back in the late 90s. And after you see one of those deathflicks, its all over, no more funny stuff, no more scary stuff, ever.
They should really be banned. Making them "adults only" is not good enough because they aren't ok even for adults. They need to stop thinking in terms of 'protecting the kids' and more in terms of protecting people in general.
Video stores I don't think ever stopped me from renting anything, not even as a kid. I would'nt have had the "judgement" to not watch real death stuff at 12, and probably not even at 16. So how about some actual censorship, you lazy non-censoring jackasses.
this film is by the same creator as Bumfights? i find that odd, considering that on his Dr. Phil appearance he stated that the two things he never deals with are hardcore pornography and death videos.
i guess its okay if somebody else filmed them?

What are you talking about!? Never laugh or find anything scary again? Ive watched loads of these sorts of films and i still laugh when I see someone get killed, it would be pretty scary if i didnt.
Heh. I remember I bought Faces Of Death (most of it is fake, but still...) when I was 14, and it made me afraid of being a mortal human... ... For a short while. watching videos like this made me realize how much we should appreciate life. One year later, I saw Traces Of Death 1, 2 and 4. Then, Terrorists, Killers and Middle East Wackos. They might have changed me, but it's not like I think murder is ok in any way. It's more like I can watch autopsy-movies while I'm eating a soft, juicy hamburger. ahh.
What TY ment was he wont make footage of one bum killing another. Buying old snuff footage isn't the same thing.
And pornography as in he wont make a full on porno- but they have filmed footage (blurred out,and angled soft-core style) of Donnie getting a BJ in #1, Donnie getting groped in #3, and the Bling Bling having sex with two ho's in Bling Bling: Bling-a-long.
best collage of that type of footage I've seen in my entire life. Love the pace of it and no lame dramatic piano music or sob stories just unapologetic death clips. Bravo!
I watched it too, I don't even remember how I got it, do you happen to know the name of the band who pretty much does all the soundtrack for the whole shockumentary?
"The truth is that I miss you so... And I'm tired."
I've seen it, and I regret seeing it. Some images I'll never be able to remove out of my mind.
It's just one hour of people getting shot (close up footage of exploding heads), people getting sliced up, people getting blown up etc.... All shown in bloody, detailled DVD-quality. The worst part of it all is that it's all real.
Don't get me wrong, I think Bumfights is hilarious. But this sh*t just goes too far for me man. Really, it's really *beep* shocking.
