no ofense but I just hope no one dares trying for a refilm in america or western europe. It's nothing against those places I just don't think it would make justice to the story. As far as a sequel is concerned I feel like all sequels until now are a bogus attempt to make the coolest stuff even cooler which always ends up in endless crap you watch just because you loved the first part so much, don't you think?
If they do shoot it let's just hope the people who do it are nothing less than geniuses.

actually the story of the sequal is going to be based around the females of the story, set in the same time as brigada (reflect on lion king 3)
This time it's focusing on the wifes of the 3 guys that died (such a tragedy *sigh*) so we will find out more about them in the story like 2 points of view to the movie :)

I think they could've done a good continuation to the series. All they would need is a good script and bigger budget than the original series had. They could've even surpass the original. Here's some ideas for a plot. After finishing all unfinished business in Russia, Sasha leaves to America. He starts a new Brigada there. First settling at Brighton Beach(lol), then moving down to Florida, Miami and then to Ca, Hollywood. Becoming a top hollywood movie honcho. :) Starting over from the beginning would give him many obsticles that he would later overcome. Getting involved with international mafia, dealing with Triads, Italian mafia and all the others. It could've been an interesting new serial that would do the justice to the original and only make it even bigger, you know. Maybe raising eyebrows on the international arena :)

The biggest dissapointment in such an instant classic, is to shoot a sequel, which is going to spoil it even for the ones waiting for it. It would be a shame if it happens. Brigada is not series only about the mafia: it combines frienship and somewhat of a post-socialist reality for all of Eastern Europe. That is why a sequence in America or anywhre else is just ridiculous...

the only thing i can think of is that u maybe(just maybe) saw a movie "boxing a shadow"/"the shadow boxing" ["бой с тенью"] also directed by a.sidorov ...
...but i'm just guessing here :)
one is sure,there will NOT be "brigada-part 2"...maybe we'll have a chance to see brigada as a movie,a short version of this serial...but that is also under ?-mark ;)
