sequel??

I heard that a sequel i made. Is this true? Could you tell me the title?

reply

god i hope not

reply

Well, Loads of people want one, but the creators all say there won't be one.

There's no such thing as a stupid saying. Except for the stupid ones.

I personally can't see a sequel happening - where would they go? The Brigada is dead, Belov's family is in New York, and he's by himself in Moscow.. a defeated crime-boss in hiding.

What could a sequel consist of? Sasha finding his wife and kid in New York and becoming Kingpin of Brighton Beach? That's going a little overboard.

reply

First off, they're not in New York, they're in Arizona, hehe. I hear that there will be a sequel, just not about their "happily ever after." The sequel would be in the same time frame as the original, from the late 80s to the late 90s. It would take a deeper look into the lives of each character -- Belov, Kosmos, Fil, and Pchelyi, and their supposed marriges and supposed children. It may also focus on the issues that weren't shown in the original, like the conflict between Max and Belov. It will just go into the details that were missed in the original. But, all in all, what a great story and portrayal; it will remain a classic.

You are so wrong... apparently you didnt read the book.."Pradalzheniya seriala" ....after the movie ends... IT IS CONTINUED ON AND ON..in book form being they didnt obtain enough funding for the movie...theres about 5-6 300-400 page books...Belov is NOT hiding.. he meets new peopple.. and forms a brigada wit them..that isnt worse than his previous one...h becomes a 100 percent legit.. and no funny business ... read the book vasya

reply

Ok...Belov goes to hitch a ride. The screen goes black and then a "gunshot" is heard. The end credits begin. This fact escaped me upon first viewing, thankfully my wife informed me of it. So I viewed this scenen again, and I agree that it was a gunshot. A kind of poetic ending if I do say so myself.

reply

The director Sidorov said that even if he'd receive a lot of money, he'll never make a sequel.

There is much more to the story if you want me i can type it all

reply

yes i heard that too.. they said that the Russian Federation did not release it because it was a bad influence to teenages because Brigada is very popular and teens are trying to be Belov, but i heard that the books contain the sequal and rare places have the sequal.

Brigada is the bestt

reply

well from what I hear, Bezrukov doesn't know abou a sequel, and the directer will probably be different.
Their thinking about Baskov being the main character (my guess is his son when he growns up??)

Bezrukov doesnt want to do another part if his a bad guy in it again... and the script is being wroten right now. So it wont be out till 2007-2009

ciao
