Fan-made English subtitles?

Years ago when I had more free time I honestly considered giving this a go, but I don't think it's even feasible now. Does anyone know if something like this exists? Like English subtitles that are actually readable translations instead of the horrible official subtitles that are given with the DVDs?

hahahah. I just bought the dvd recently. You could always try learning Russian :)

I showed this to my non Russian speak friends and it was pretty frustrating, the subtitles are horrid.

A buddy and I plan to eventually subtitle the series ourselves.
