To those that do not know Brigada is based on Books

There are more then 7/8 books about Sasha Belov
The tv series is base don the first two books right now I have read them till the 5th book [THat is what is released in Bulgaria so far]

For those of you that want to know what happend
There was gunshot at the end indeed to be exact 2 gunshots and Sasha Belov was left to die at a junkyard but he survived and start living in the junkyard where he found other friends and his first love i dont remember her name

The guy that killed him was sent by Schmid who took over the company and later he become lover with Sasha`s wife.

There is much more to the story if you want me i can type it all

I'm sorry but it seems really hard for me to believe it was a novel first. Besides discussing it with my wife (who lived in Latvia when the original series came out) and hearing what happed to the character of Belov, it just sounds like a third rate soap opera. I personally just think it was a continuation to apease the fanatics of the show. Much like the Star Wars universe has many many many books continuing the saga.

sounds like complete BS. it's an original script and the novelised series was released 2003-5. afaik.

brigada is not based on books. the books came after the series was released, and were simply an attempt to make money of fans of the series. you are not supposed to know what happened after the gunshot, that is one of the points of this gunshot...

p.s. i read a bit of the first book, and it was beyond terrible, not worth any time, and not even close to the series...

I find that very hard to believe, and if you are talking about the books in Bulgaria, it is ridiculous... however if you have any legit evidence to show me, please send me a link or any other information, then you can claim that and i'll admit i'm wrong...

WTF, was it even a gunshot???? i think it was a part of starting music or somn...and this *beep* about livin on junkyard is total nonsence for retards even if it exists...anyway the series RULE!

Yeah,it's the same with me.I watched the series both dubbed and with subtitles so I find the language very cool and want to learn it.
