some people i spoke too before i saw the film said it is a rubbish film, but those people have not seen the movie yet.People should not judge a film by reviews,but deside themselfs.I thought the storyline was moving and funny the main charater was interesting and kept the movie alive.When u think of bowls u think of old people, so the film was different from what u think it would consist of.Not everybody can afford training lessons, some people rely on raw talent.The soundtrack was brilliant and this country should make more movies like this. Gav ,any replies welcome.

If you havnt seen the film how can you express an opinion on it you can simply say you have read some bad reviews of it but like you said the only sure way you can say the film is good or bad is to view it yourself. we are all made up differently and find different things funny, sad, or entertaining hence they make so many different types of films. What i find funny you may not. As for film reviews dont get me started sometimes they universally prais a film so i go and see it and its a pile of *beep*, in my opinion ef the royal tennenbaums and on other occasions they will universally slaughter a film and ill enjoy it eg 3000 miles to graceland not a classic by any means but no worse than oceans eleven which again they adored and i simply found satisfactory.

Hey, I got a screener copy of this film and loved it. Perhaps they recut the film or something, but I really thought it was hilarious. If you like Happy Gilmore and other sporting movies about the rise of a badboy character to a powerful position in their league, you'll love this. The comedy is great. Paul Kaye is really really funny. PLUS, all you swingers fans, Vince Vaughn is in this. It's really laugh out loud great. It will be out in the USA on Feb. 11
