The Funniest Scene?

I thought this film was a pretty decent effort for a british comedy. i think the funniest scene was when James Cromwell is in the car with the learner driver who slams on the breaks at the wrong time! if you look at the boys face just before the camera cuts to a different scene you can see his eyes sort of look down, giving a sort of sad but cheeky look to him! it is so funny! that actor is a genius!

I personally enjoyed Starky's entrance onto the field (is it field?) to play Speight.

Best bits in the entire film :

When Cliff gets big and blows it cos' Johnny Vegas comes in wit the 3 p's (Pizza Pilsner and Porn, how delightful!) and then Vince Vaughn is going ape poopy and Johnny exclaims "It's freakin' Batman!"

-or-

when Vince is wasted at the very end and barely mouths (cos' he is wasted) EFFING BRITS!! HAH!

Well, thats...THAT'S WHAT I THINK!!!

The funniest bits for me were when ray gets in the limo and cliff says 'What made you come?' and ray replies 'well, I'm an englishman', and then when they enter to play the second part of the game soaked, that was marvellous.

The part where Cliff was telling Carrie about the two differant types of bowls players

(Sorry If I got it wrong) Cliff- There are two types of bowls players, the rich ones who play everyday and the ones who would strive to find a green...like me

Ray calls for Carrie

Cliff- And then there's tossers like him

Carrie- COMING DAD!!!!

Made me laugh

The first match where Starkey thrashed Speight was a howler.

In the final match against the Aussies, where Speight said, "I'm on a red green with blue woods, surrounded by two thousand people shouting 'Tosser!', just what *is* my game?"

reply

I liked the Statman in the commentary box and all the cr@ppy hi-tech gimmicks to try to make bowls seem sexy.
