Claras burial... not the best idea in the world

I understand the story of this film, and whilst I believe that Sean had convinced himself he was Sean through reading the letters (which is plausible, children can do odd things like that), I enjoyed the ambiguities.

However, I can't understand Clara's stupidity in burying the letters as shallowly as she did, especially to be watched by a ten year old boy. Why not burn them, bin them, or stash them in a drawer? Its the most dumbest, insensitive thing to do. I just can't believe she would have done it, being that she'd have had to be pretty sharp until that point to not let the secret out.

Also, I can't believe that Sean (the real one) would have gotten away with it for so long, not making any reference to the content of Annas letters. Surely she would have asked at some point "did you get my letter? What did you think of it?" especially when she apparently wrote so many.

Yeah, that's a bit absurd and stupid. Who would do something like that? To bury someone's love letters containing personal and private information in a public park and not very deep. She was carrying a bag that was big enough to put the box in while she was at the appartment. However if she hadn't buried the letters there would not be movie.

Perhaps she was just ditching them temporarily and was going to return and retrieve them and then dispose of them permanently.
