This is one of those films that everyone should see..

Some parts were so heart-wrenching that I cried. others wee so heart felt that I laughed.. I thought that when the Americans brought the South Americans to America, there were so many little observations of the man, that really make you think about the type of society we live in. it's a shame that not every American will see this movie, as I think it would open the eyes, minds, and hearts of many people.

I loved this film, and will go down and one of the greatest documentaries I'll ever see.

So is this a different story or more of a documentary? It was in the DVD trailer. As to the God part, it definitely was mostly left out of The End of the Spear. Very low key.

Yes, the "God Part" was left out of The End of the Spear. I guess they were afraid that people wouldn't go see a "Christian" movie. It was low key, as you say.

Thanks for the info. Actually, after I posted this, I decided to do the other movie (End of the Spear) and after weeding through quite abit of postings, found exactly what you just said.

As to why, I do agree it was a good idea. The movie really touched on a lot of things and left me very emotional. I sobbed at various times. I cry easily anyway but that doesn't happen often. Thankfully I was home alone. As to your website, it was an interesting observation and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. God is a myth just like the other religions. Something made up to ease the pain of the truth which is you die, that's all folks. Just like animals, just like plants...we're just more evolved and continue to do so. The mind can do wonderous things even though you may not know what's happening or can control it. We are an amazing species.

Anyway, enough of that...thanks for the reply.

I really want to see the documentary. We don't buy videos and my video store and local library does not have it. I hope to come across it some place.

Thank you for looking at my site. I put a "warning" on it (down below) to let people know what my site is about. I know that most people do not agree with me, and I don't want to offend anybody.

On the other hand, I really believe the things I say in my site, and it does not offend me that people think I'm a loony tune. In fact MOST people think I'm a loony tune. It does not bother me.

Many of my friends, including my BEST friend, are athiests. As long as people treat each other with respect, it does not matter that you believe different things. When I met my best friend, she told me how stupid and ignorant I was. What a basis for a friendship, tee hee hee! But, we really ended up having a lot of other things in common.

I used to believe that God was a myth that made ignorant people feel good. I am surprised as anybody that I believe in God, now! I was the MOST surprised, actually!

And why may I ask, do you not buy videos?

reply

We can only afford to rent them. We have a Hollywood Video right around the corner and it is very convenient for us to rent movies there.

I own a couple of movies that I really, really like. I own Casablanca and It's a Wonderful Life. We watch these once a year so it is worth owning them. My hubby got me Casablanca for my birthday.
