Summer looked so damn hot in this movie.

Also Taylor Walsh? Didn't she leave? And why didn't she go to the wedding?
Also Leigh initially ended up dating JD in the beginning? Also mentioned past romantic interest and tension with Jason? Wasn't her romantic tension with Sean Monroe? And what did Sean end up doing in the last Hawaii episode?
Also Kekoa and Jason? When did that relationship begin.
Also didn't Hobie initially leave to go the East Coast?
They must have retconned a lot of things.
Although like Mitch was known to have said time and time again.

Sure people come and go from positions but they come back every now and then to help out or to soul search and get away from their regular jobs.

It was mentioned several times in the series that lifeguards were required to do 10 days a year to keep up their certification. It's possible Summer came back every summer for her 10 days. Most of the characters on the show weren't career lifeguards with some exceptions (the lieutenants, captains and chiefs).
I was glad that hobie ad summer got together, surprised he followed the path of his dad being a lifeguard,
