They're filming Air Bud 6 right now.
It's called "Air Buddies". I don't know if this is the rugby Air Bud that was on the drawing board. In fact, if you look at the IMDB listing, take note of something SCARY. There are a bunch of credits for "voice of".
I think the dogs are going to talk. This can't be a good sign.

The fourth one sucked, and I havn't seen this one, and probably won't. the FIFITH movie from one movie? ahh..hello? and a sixth one? 3 is enough, after the 3rd its gotton WAY too much, hence the fourth one SUCKED. Specially cuz the guy who plays josh, keven is barely in it, and then written out in the fifth, clearly he probably didn't want to be in it anymore. and then the girl...his sister, always forget her name, but she left too, onto commander in chief...and didn't come back. clearly on to bigger and better things. its becoming a joke...
i mean, who plays in the teams now? if the 2 children, of that family aren't in it...who is being the one with buddy? tammy (the friend)...totally silly.

shareThe sixth movie is about Air Buds puppies, not necessarily Buddy himself... I'm not even sure this movie is based on one particular sport. From the cover, it looks like all the pups have a particular sport that they enjoy. They actually have to save Buddy, I think that's the main plot.
As for the other movies, I really can't say much. I loved the first one, 'cause I love dogs. Never saw any others. I didn't see any reason (they really shouldn't make a series longer than 3). But you can't be too hard on them... they're just doing what most people in the world are trying to do... get rich. And since the first one was pretty much a big hit (and yes, I realize that a few hated it, hence the words "pretty much") they thought they could continue the series as great as the original, making even more money. That's how it usually works. If something does well, someone's going to try to produce a different version or a sequal, thinking that the new movie will do just as well.
anything after the third was too much.
