I have become a huge Wire in the Blood fan I can't believe that the series has already ended, glad to here that there are making another.
Can anyone tell me the relationship between Carol and Paula are they related, I completely forgeot that the series was back on so I have missed practically the entire series except for the last one and another can't remeber which one.

Carol and Paula have no relation beyond the fact that they work together. Paula is just a DC on the squad, under the command of DCI Jordan.
Paula was added to the cast to replace Annie Reiss (who only appeared in the first series - no idea why). With Don leaving at the end of season 2 (again, unexplained), Paula and Kevin are Carol's only regular officers that are shown.
The only relative of Carol that's been shown has been her brother who provided computer advice in The Mermaid's Singing.
Let's see, DS Don Merrick gets promoted to DI in the books, but he dies in the same book, whether they're going to show that particular book I'm not sure (it's a little too graphic to be shown at any time of day, i think, the book being 'The Torment of Others' just read it, really good).
We may have an entry of new boy DC Sam Evans and DC Sarah Chen, if the books are anything to go by.
