Toon Disney: Not a very good sign of things to come

On September 2, Disney will dump reruns onto Toon Disney. To me, I think it is a bad sign of things to come. They might take the show off the ABC schedule entirely so Toon Disney is the only place to watch the show. That's what happened to "Teacher's Pet". First, they dumped reruns onto Toon Disney, and then, in the beginning of the fall season, they took the show off of ABC schedule so people would only watch TP on Toon Disney. I really hope "Fillmore" goes all the way to the 65th episode, or, even better, Disney gets rid of the controversial 65-episode limit (which also caused the cancellation of all the shows on FOX Family that were running at the time when Disney bought it and turned it into ABC Family [which especially cancelled "Big Wolf On Campus", though I didn't watch the show, and that fans were angered when Disney bought FOX Family and took the show off the air in 2002]).

Unfortunately, Disney never had any intention of making more than the initial 26 episodes. Fillmore was one of the last shows developed at the Disney Television division without input by the Disney Channel. Now that the Disney Channel and Disney Television animation have merged, Disney Channel has no interest in doing more Fillmore, no matter how popular or good it is. The Disney Channel is so enamored with 'Lizzy McGuire' and 'That's So Raven' as the pinacle of what a Disney show should be like, that they feel 'Fillmore!' isn't funny, that girls don't like it (even though it consistently scores higher with young girls in the Neilsons), and that kids ONLY want to watch funny shows.

So cherish the Fillmore!'s that exist. That's all that are going to be made.

Well - that explains a lot. I never got a chance to catch this on ABC, but was hooked immediately hooked when I came across it on Toon Disney. The whole spoofing of the '70s cop shows was a hoot. It definitely is a quality show. I'm gonna have start taping episodes before it disappears.

I can't say enough good words about this show, got every single episode on my computer and watch them constantly. Totally gutted that Disney aren't gonna make anymore episodes, it's the only cartoon that can stand up against the mighty recess. I can help with getting episodes if anyone wants

I love the show but as I'm in the UK and don't have cable anymore I never get to see it now, if you could help me out that would be absolutely fantastic.
