I've seen the film twice, and I still have the feeling that after he followed her tracks from the tent and yelled out for her and saw the Snowy Owl up on the rocky hill, that he then went up there and found her body (not shown), which is where they show him creating the burial mound.
sharelol 2 things, 1. why in the world of humans would you ever fall into the trap of watching a movie twice?
2. no he didn't found her body but made in her honor a tumulus as she reminded him he knew how to do it. (jungian stuff u know, similarities between myths & cultures ya know?) google tombe du soldat inconnu, or the not named cia agents starwall of honor, u may learn more than by watching a movie twice or stare at immuable things until they move and think it was because of you.

Planning to watch this movie and made the mistake of coming here, i haven't read your full post, just the title, but thanks for putting that detail in the title right next to "SPOILER", i don't know what exactly it means but after watching the trailer i have a pretty good idea, so yea nice one.
