How does the girl understand...

Having written my review of this movie I forgot to ask how Susan's character can understand what Van Husen's "darkhunter" is saying as he is talking in a screwy alien-language ? Answers on a postcard...

"I believe in this, and its been tested by research, he who f$cks nuns will later join the church"

er....the version of the film that I saw had subtitles whenever the Darkhunter was talking. If it is assumed that the audience cannot understand, why then can the character in the film?

"Listen again to better understand" that would mean watching this awful film again so I think I'll pass.

why have you deleted your post my friend? is it because you were talking bollocks?

The subtitles came out of the fact that the initial sfx didn't work and the demon didn't actually look like he was moving his mouth when he was talking. We tried various things and that worked the best. I kinda figured that if Carol could see the dead souls then she could probably understand the demon. I believe the sound when he speaks is a mixture of his voice backwards and other voices intermingled although I can't remember for sure.

Ok, the new FX covered the fact that his mouth wasn't moving but why and how does that affect the voice/language he speaks in?

we tried all kinds of things and that worked the best. A human voice just didn't look right because his mouth still looks like its not moving. It ain't ideal but there you go.
