Moriarty - just perfect.

Well, I suppose that Vincent D'Onofrio was very good in his role. I'm almost sure that he watched Russian TV-series.
Just perfect! I thought I wouldn't like another interpretation of Moriarty (because the Russian variant was brilliant ), but... Vincent did it.

I'm unfamilar with the Russian TV-series. Is it avialable on region 1 dvd with sub-titles?

BTW,D'Onofrio's interpretation was very good.

reply

Oh, it's a big problem :)
My personal drama - can't find Law & Order with russian subtitles. Or without any subtitles...

Dear God, thank you for Danny Elfman!...

I liked Vincent's Moriarty. He was awfully campy, theatric, over the top and God only knows what kind of accent he was trying to have, but yes, I did like him in the part.

My favourite Moriarty though will always be Eric Porter.

There's no way I'm dying before you do, you morally bankrupt Colonel with a God complex.

Basically, D'Onofrio plays Moriarty as if Orson Welles were doing a James Mason impression. And somehow, rather incongruously, that interpretation actually works. haha

reply

Perhaps his acting was good but his accent was strange, nothing like it in London. I saw it on the TV and have just ordered the DVD.
