Total remake of Can't buy me Love

It didn't make a whole lot of sense to remake Can't Buy Me Love with a black cast

More than middle-aged white male here.

I too liked CBML, but I disagree with your comment that LDCAT does not make any sense to film. While it was filmed many years later, it can relate the story to a completely different audience. I doubt many black household kids would watch CBML or a white-remake, but a much larger quantity will watch a black version.

Sure, this one does not have the same charm, but I doubt they were gunning for any charm in this version. It still worked though, I thought they did at least a decent job for the most part. (at least the part I have seen so far, I missed the first third of it...it's on as I type)
