Turk 182

Anybody ever see this movie? Bomb the System is unintentionally more than a little reminiscent of this Timothy Hutton 80's clunker.

In any case, the film's heart is definitely in the right place, but it's also utterly pretentious and its so called political consciousness is unsophisticated and trite at best. I respect the distance that the filmmaker uses here, however, these "hip" kids aren't nearly as interesting as they or the writer/director thinks they are, at least not interesting enough to throw up on screen and expect for anyone to care but their friends and family. In fact, most of these original artists come off as nothing more than cardboard cliches.

Those who want to buy into the romantic myth of the primal street artist will love this film, those who are skeptical or don't know much about this world won't. Forgettable at best, Bomb the System is another film that comes out of Robert Redford's Sundance system that does not live up to the hype or its potential.
