What was her new magazine pitch?

I didn't get it. 'Don't forget the good old days' - how is that reinventing a magazine?

reply

I always thought it was stupid. It was supposed to be like Jenna being sentimental for her childhood and not wanting to grow up, but outside the world of a movie it would actually be a ridiculous way to reinvent a magazine.

Back to the old school look, instead of the constant over geared hyped look, which practically every fashion magazine is doing.
Not reinvention, but back to the basics of fashion and articles that everyone can understand.

J-curl lol. Negro, please.

reply

Yeah I always thought it was stupid too.

But I think what she was going for was 'real' people, as opposed to super glam women that no one really identifies with.

Boring.

Not that super glam isn't boring too...I don't know, I'm not a fan of magazines...

Do the P-I-G-E-O-N

reply

I assumed it was 'down to earth and back to school' vs super slick and super sleek. It was 'different' for a nyc adult fashion magazine. It would surprise readers and advertisers alike. Yes they were taking a risk.

Probably has strong notes of retro and nostalgia. After all, Poise was a magazine that's been around since 1987!
