So how did Jenna end up being a '6th chick'.

I get she wished to be 30 and all.
But how did she suddenly go from a geek who was tricked and being taken advantage of by being forced into doing their homework into a cool 6th chick who went to a dance with her hot crush.

Something doesn't add up, they obviously never liked her! Or else they wouldn't have left her party while she was in the closet or tricked her into doing their homework.

The magic dust can cause anything,
careful what you wish for.

Ephemeron.

The magic dust changed her future.

Matt was begging her to come out of the closet (after being pathetic enough to return after she treated him badly to impress Lucy & her crowd). He said even though she was telling him to leave, he started playing a song (that was probably geeky and lame) anyway, and she threw the dollhouse at him (then obviously he was pathetic enough to take it home, fix it and keep it like a shrine to her).

My guess is Lucy came down for her scarf then and saw what she had done (or saw her throw the dollhouse) and laughed, then decided to tell her to go and hang out with them.

Good point - I never thought about that and it makes perfect sense.

I really like your car Mrs. Larusso!

I'm sure once she ditched Matt they were cool with her. 13 year old girls are fickle. They probably axed their least favorite girl to make room for Jenna.

They still did not 'like' her--Lucy had no qualms about going through her desk and tricking Matt

This was after Jenna's "nice act" and Lucy obviously being told her idea was terrible. Remember, before that, Jenna was known for being a bitch. Her assistant was afraid of her. She stole someone's idea and fired her.

Then suddenly she's "nice"?
