Has anyone ever met him?

I met him this weekend at the Thunder Over Michigan air show. He was a really cool guy. People were in line on their cell phones and when they got up to him they were asking if he would say hi to whoever they were talking to and he took the time to sort of talk to whoever it was. When I got up there and he asked my name to sign his book, he said he had a girlfriend before with the same name. He took a picture with me and my fiance. It was cool.

Yea, I met him at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum WWII Show in August of 2006. He signed my SNAFU DVD and posed for a pic, but the line was long so I didn't really get to talk to him lol

He's a down to earth guy, and always relaxed around US Marines. I met him at Camp Pendleton's, School of Infantry chow-hall, during his first season. It was a big news for the permanent personal at SOI. He got a good laugh when I was ordered by my SgtMaj. to extract the CO's, Gunny Hartman (G.I. Joe) doll from his office, and not return without his autograph.

I've talked with him a couple times over the years. Nice guy, but he's more of a celebrity these days! Maybe I should bring him a few copies of Full Metal Jacket to autograph for friends...
