What would you guys think about a sequel to this series?

Let me explain, what I mean by a sequel. I mean like a version of this series that brought us up to and through the events leading up to The War of 1812 (all the politics and the occupation of Washington DC, the burning of the White House, and President James Madison leading his troops into battle) in a similar fashion to the way Liberty's Kids handled the American Revolution.

that would be so amazing :)

Well I'm glad someone agrees. :) Who knows if this sells well the same team might get together and work on "Liberty's Kids 1812." We could even have Sarah, James, and Henri 36 years older viewing these events unfold and James & Sarah's children participating in events the same way their parents did. Food for thought. I hope the show's creators (Michael Milani and Kevin O'Donnell I'm looking in your direction) take heed.

I agree, they should be some sort of sequel to Liberty's Kids.

However harlem, in 1812, Sarah, and James, will be almost in their 60s, if they did follow the actual ages. Henri, would be in his 40s, unless he's still in France lol...

They could still do that though. I would enjoy it. I also wouldn't mind one abou the Civil War.

LoriPettyfan, they would be approaching their mid-fifties and what I said was that it would be 36 years after the events of the original show. I thought about the Civil War, but I think that if they did it on the War of 1812 it would tie in very well with the original show being that many of the original characters would still be alive and it tied closely into events of the American Revolution.

Yes, the War of 1812 would be a better idea. I'm going to have to check up on the actual ages of each character.

I also wished they would've touched on more character development in Libertys' Kids, if you know what I mean. There were a lot of things put out there, but not explain, nor acted upon.

Tell me: if Sarah is 15, James is 14 and Henri is 8 in 1773 when they meet during the Boston Tea party, and then Sarah is 15, James is 14 and Henri is 8 in 1789 at the end of the series when George Washington is inaugurated as President, what logical reason is there why Sarah can't be 15, James 14 and Henri 8 in 1812 at the start of the next war against Britain, or in 1861 at the start of the Civil War?

Exactly what I was thinking!

Tally/Zane (Uglies) <3 Sarah/James (Liberty's Kids) <3

"Womanizer, baby." - Britney Spears :)

Ha ha, your post was made 5 years ago but these were my thoughts too, the kids don't age and that's what makes the show great. They're around for every major event in the Revolution and they get to see it through their young eyes.

In the 1/2 hr "A look back at Liberty's Kids" featurette on the Shout Factory DVDs, the creators mention they are trying to create a Civil War version next, but that featurette was made 8 years ago.

A sequel would be really cool but I also thought they should remake the show into a live-action version. I don't know why, maybe because I am older now or maybe because there are so few good historical shows, but I think it would be much more satisfying. Historically, and emotionally (as it would give room for more character development). It'd cost lots of money though.

A sequel during my high school years would have been nice, but it couldn't happen because 2 of the 3 kids went to college. However, this was the time I was in marching and concert band at Highlands High School, and I became passionate about shows like iCarly and Wizards of Waverly Place. But, like I said other times around, if it weren't for this wonderful, epic revolutionary cartoon, none of thi would have happened. I have missed watching this show all these years, though, That is why I watch all the episodes on Saturdays on my smartphone.

I would love a sequel with their great, great grandchildren getting wiped out by the brave Vietnamese freedom fighters. Hell, you could make it about any of the wars the American empire has forced upon countless nations.
