Did you ever noticed...

I'm sure as we all know the show was taped somewhere in Canada, but there was never any real geographical mention of where Blake Hosely's location.

In the episode title Hologram, after the dates were revealed - a close up shot of a calendar showed Oct. 11 - Thanksgiving Day. The date in which the holiday is observed in Canada.

I know silly, but an interesting fact.

P.s. Has there been any mention of the schools whereabouts?

reply

I just figured that it was in some random town in Canada.

Don't read this

Same here...I never really thought of it that much...for osme reasom at one point I thought it was in Philly, but htat couldn't be right.

reply

When someone started a thread that says it was filmed down the street from Mohawk college.

reply

I thought it was set on the east coast... in America. Since Z got a scholarship to Penn State, why would a Canadian go there when there are good schools in Canada?

reply

Well the calander could be explained by a simple filming goof, since it is filmed in Canada even if the plot is in America, switching to an American calander probably wouldn't be the top priority on the list.

Marshall is Canadian, though. His rocket had a Canadian flag on it (I forget which episode) and I doubt an American would have one on his rocket. I don't think there is anything definitive to say whether it was set in the US or Canada. I do remember that in the episode with the special energy chocolate bars, Professor Zachary appeared to have used a Loonie (a one dollar coin) in the vending machine. Though, the school was called "Chichester" in the 1879 episode, and there is a Chichester, New Hampshire. I think they intentionally left it ambiguous, not saying one way or another.

well the school is filmed at The Auchmar Estate located across from Mohawk College at West 5th and Fennell in Hamilton Ontario Canada . Auchmar is a beautiful historical site which is not being used and faces a uncertain future. It was the Home of the Honourable Issac Buchanan who was active in early Hamilton Business intrests . for more info [email protected]

I always figured it was somewhere in New England.

One PM was morning for her. Early morning was eleven, and the middle of the night was nine.

The funny thing with the episode about the energy bars is that even though they used loonies, Josie talked about the Food Pyramid, which is American. In Canada it's never been a pyramid, it's called Canada`s Food Guide and it`s a rainbow (which actually sounds kinda dorky compared to a pyramid).
