I honestly think film making from 2010 - 2016 and onward ( looks like ) is pretty much a done art form. Even a film like this in 2003 and many others and in the 1990's since 1960's knew how to make films. So far I'm watchin this thing and it's good. I see a lot of the films now and the up n coming actors and film makers are extremely lame. CGI is used in almost all films now way too much and the stories are weak. It's pretty done... cooked.
shareApparently the early 2000s were a crappy era for movies but I think some of the best stuff came out between 01 and 03. I haven't even watched anything from the past 5 or so years and based on observations I'm not really sure I'd want to. There's definitely still some stuff coming out that looks interesting but I'm certain they're practically borderline direct-to-video films. That's actually quite sad!
What are some other films from those years that you admire? My list is huge and sadly it cuts off right around 2005. There's some 2007 thrown in there too I guess!
