I have seen a trailer showing a lot of stuff the game dosen't have, for example the dog monster from the end of the movie. Also the frosen body of MacReady. After beating the game I haven't seen a lot of stuff from this trailer, could this be something they were trying to make and after all they deleted it? Anyone know something about it¿¿¿
By the way, any sequel?
I thought MaCready lived, and therefore doesn't need a frozen body. Is someone telling porky pies?

You are right, all that stuff you saw was in the beta version (The beta trailer may still be on youtubem search the thing beta on it). Unfortunately, a lot of the good stuff did not make it in the final version, and at one point, Computer artworks was working on a sequel to the 1st game, but the compnay went belly up and that was it. You can search Outpost 31 on any search engine, and go to this fan site, in the video game forum, you will find a lot of info about why the company belly up, what they were working on in the sequel and fan mods on the 1st game. In fact, there will be a mod coming out on the 15 this month for the PC version of this game.
I signed everytime I saw the beta trailer and how the sequel never came to be.
With the Prequel of the movie coming out next year (supposedly), I am hoping there wil be another the thing game at some point, but it's a long shot.
