Sequel?

Even today in 2010 this is still one of the best games I have ever played, it keeps the atmosphere of the John Carpenters movie and has a good musical score, I hope they make a sequel keeping true to this game.

You just listed the reasons why I have finished this game nine times now to date. I would love to see another Thing game as long as it is done the same way this one was.

I just love how aswell you get people with you, and they have names and different personalities and you dont know if they're infected, and they suspect you and other team mates, you can give them weapons, and they get scared and sometimes suicide

I've noticed how sometimes depending on how the situation goes one of the team members turns on you by transforming into something mutated. I guess this happens if things are not going well for the other team members. Just try and make sure they have enough ammo, and a decent health bar. Try and kill as many of the mutants before the team members get the chance to fire their guns, this should work. Sometimes they turn sooner rather than later if things go tits up.

It appears so. Maybe there will be some good come out of the bastardization prequel movie next year. Maybe it will warrant another game. If so it is the only good that will come of such a movie. I wont be watching the prequel movie due to them adding skanks to the storyline. There were no skanks in the Kurt Russell movie. So there should be no skanks in the prequel and especially no American skanks in a Norwegian base either!.

Say, in the game. Is it always the same people who turn? Because If I play it again I want that bit to be a mystery like in my first time playing, I didnt know who was infected or not.

I think one or two people can change and other times, depending on how good you are at playing in certain sections, will determine if they change or not, morale is a key point me thinks. As I've had a doctor change on me in a later on section one time. Then when I played it again, he didn't change but got killed instead by the enemy. If there is only one of them I give them the most powerful weapon I have, if I have a double of that weapon, otherwise they get the next best weapon I have a double pick up of. Keep them stocked on ammo, but never leave yourself short. Sometimes if need be I give one the handgun and all the ammo for it. That's better than a machine gun and ammo which you will be using. But some times you need to give them a shotgun or machine gun if this is the case, just give them some of the ammo your carrying. I think as long as their morale bar is 80% or higher each, then it should be ok. If they are left alone for too long or get treated crappy or that they will either not do as they are told or turn into one of those monsters. And remember if they get killed you can always pick up the gun you gave them, and the ammo that's left if you have enough space.
