Series 3 characters
What is peoples thoughts on how this series will be with so many characters leaving between series 2 and series 3 without acknowldegment within the storylines of where they may have gone.

shareWell I don't think he's in the complete series. From what I have heard something happens at the beggining of the first episode that will explain what happens to the Troop - I think, from the troop, only Henno and Louis are present for the complete 3rd series. This time is is supposed to be comprised with 4 one and half hour episodes instead of the usual 6 one hourly episodes.

i dont know if caroline is still going to be in the 3rd series. although her name is still listed in the characters IMDB, her name is not mentioned in articles relating to the 3rd series. it wouldnt be as bad if they were at least in one episode an all got killed or left the regiment in another way. Dotsy as u mentioned above left after ep2 series 2 an then Capt Ian Macalwain replaced him bein killed in ep6 series 2.

yeah i agree, think it depends on how its done and on the new charcters that are brought in. it would be better if they bring in totally different charcters rather than tryin to replace like for like characters. spooks series 3 is a good example of characters leaving an bee replaced. with the 3 main characters leaving throughout the 3rd series. this was done gradually an the characters brought in look able enough to carry on the show 2 sereis 4.
shareI don't know what to think. I really like Alex Reid and I'll be happy if her character stays. But I like Caroline as much as Pete, Louis, Jamie, Mick and almost all other guys. The thing that makes the film interesting is that anyone can die at any time and this makes it realistic. But I'll be really sad if 90% of The Red Troop disappear without any explanation just like Mick. The things I heard from you for the first episode sound pretty interesting so I hope that we'll not be disappointed.

I don't think Caroline is in this series - I think I recall someone saying over at the Jamie Draven site that they had read/heard that she wasn't returning although i could be mistaken. Also it is not confirmed that the departures of the Troop were featured off screen/prior to the first episode. Some articles hinted that the episode may start with a operation/location that could feature some of the origional cast... here's hoping, I do love my fix of Jamie Draven. Although if it's anything like the first episode of the previous series I may be quite disturbed, poor Jem *sob*
I hope Alex Reid will be there. I think the absence of the others will be enough.

PS: You know that Ross Kemp was the narrator in a show about sharks on Explorer channel? I watched it yesterday.
Not a bad first episode, shame Jamie Draven wasn't really in it. Losing 4 main characters makes it a bit of a different show really there seems no continuity. Not really a drama anymore, more of a soap. Glad that new girl got her baps out though.

What happened to Dotsy?! I missed the last ep of season 2 did he go out then or has he just disappeared?! Although now I can watch him in BSG so all is not lost.

I have seen the 1st episode of the new series and the explain the departures of the othewrs in a very cool way!!!
The new guys seem good enough. Lewi's push from 'extra' to 'main charatcer' works really well,as he has the on-screen personality to clash with Henno's making it all funny stuff.
