I missed the first 25 mins. I know that the 4 died, but did we see anything happen, did we see the funeral, or was someone just talking about it?
Just to put my 2 pennies worth in, not too sure about the 'Hollywoodisation' with the diving-and-shooting stuff. Especially as im sure she would be that competent or even trained in pistol firing. Im sure that is something you learn after passing selection.
Episode started with Red Troop looking to capture someone in Tikrit, Iraq. Heno and Louie were in a car comunnicating with Jamie, Ricky and Pete who went into the building to make the capture. It was a setup as the locals outside were armed and the building was booby trapped. Then an explosion went off in the building and Jamie came staggering out on fire where he was promptly shot by the locals. Ricky came onto a balcony to escape the flames only to get as Heno later said 14 rounds pumped into before he knew where they were coming from. Pete got the full force of the bomb in the building and they had to use sand bags to fill his coffin as he was blown to pieces.
Heno and Louie then mounted a two man war on the town, killing everyone and then Heno stood taking note of the situation. He'd just lost three men for nothing.
It then cut straight back to Heno arriving at the base back in England after taking some time off to have the funerals of his friends and get his head back on straight. His return timed with the selection of the new recruits to fill the gaps in Red Troop.

Jem died in Series 2, I think the first episode when they attacked that baot with them French Army/Navy types on it. The one where Caroline got shot as well.
Jamie, Ricky and Pete were all played by stunt performers. None of the actors were available for filming of Series 3 hence why their characters have been bumped off.
Why don't they have an Officer attached to Red Troop? Well they have figured out that Red Troop don't really like Ruperts and they tend to wind up dead after a live Op, whether that be because of enemeny fire or non-friendy friendly fire.
