Where is Yossi?

If this movie is based on a true story, what happened to Yossi? Did he had to resign his commission after he was found out at the end? Is he still alive? Did he find another man like Lior? If anybody has any information about him please you can write me at rolo13@hotmail. I sure would like to talk to him about my personal experience in the military (not as tragic as his). RP

I read a thing online, verified, that Yossi AND jagger are still alive and i think it was Yossi that became a gay rights activist. They are not together. Search online.

Are you trying to tell me that killing Lior at the end of the movie is not part of the real life? Is that is the case is a diservice, because what make this plot so great is the tragic loss of life at the end, that is a disappointment. RP.

Why the hell should he have to resign his commission? In the Israeli army there are no laws forbidding gay men from being officers or soldiers. On the contrary, once being gay was a reason that people used to get out of the army with, today it is not. Today, no one cares if you're gay or not.

On the DVD-box I bought, Eytan Fox states that one of the two did die in real life, and that because the parents of the guy who died lived outside of Israel, his remains were transferred immediately, so that the one left behind had nowhere to turn to mourn for his lost lover. Fox doesn't clarify what happens to the other one though, except that he was a guy he knew.

OT, but to terra do you mean to say your DVD has director commentary on it? and where did you get that? Also is there a place on the net where we can read the true story or where more information can be found of the real people this movie was based on?
