Very cool

I saw this documentary tonight and thought it was extremely cool. The way some docs seem one sided, does not happen here. I for one, am very intrigued.

Saw it several months ago and I must have watched it three times since. It's brilliant and Adams is a brilliant man.

I love The True Meaning of Pictures so much. I always enjoy seeing unedited humans (anti-Hollywood) in every circumstance. Shelby truly has a lot of love and respect for his subjects and it matters to him if they love and respect him back. Unfortunately, the viewers of his pictures are less intelligent and less open minded than he assume they would be.

Most of the negative, unkind and judgmental comments from the talking heads said way more about their own state of mind and prejudices than anything Shelby tried to accomplish through his photos. I enjoyed the one dark haired lady who truly got what Mr. Adams was trying to accomplish. I have the feeling Shelby Lee Adam's going to be one of those artists who are way more appreciated after they're long dead than while they are alive.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.
