Hi, I'm Ted Brigham...

...and I was wondering if anyone thought I should start up a web page. I know I sound kind of forlorn in the movie, but my story's a lot more complicated. Would there be any interest? My email is [email protected] Thank you!

If you are indeed the Ted from "Spellbound", I'm sure your website would get a few hits. I'm not sure if I would check it out myself, but a lot of people really loved the documentary (myself included) and would probably be interested.

By the way, Ted, I really identified with what you said about it being occasionally lonely when other kids weren't able to understand exactly what you were saying. I just hope you've continued to pursue your education...good luck.

Oh, and one more thing: I consider myself an excellent speller, but to be honest, I thought it was "distractable" also. Ah well...you learn something new every day.

Hello Ted
I also loved this movie. I would be very interested if you would start a website. I saw this movie with my mother, and she really identified with you, having grown up as the odd girl in Kansas City, Missouri.
Please do start a site.

please do. 'spellbound' definitely inspires a strong "where are they now" curiousity (is that the correct spelling?)

absolutely ted! i go to iowa and i am dreaming of the day i bump into you on the street. ok, that's creepy... i promise i'm not stalking you. but totally start that site. people would love it!

I wouldn't be interested in your web site, but I hope you've had a good life since the spelling bee.

Hi Ted,

I think you should start your own website. I am interested in your story and what you are doing now. So what are you doing now??

By the way did your older brother go into the marines?

Hello, Ted,

I'd say DO create a personal website. :) I recommend angelfire.com, free or payed account. I prefer to have a payed account though.

Ted, this will sound very weird, but I worked with Dan at Northwest over the past year.

Somehow, he failed to mention this. It was odd for me to watch the movie, and then look at your younger brother, thinking it was some random kid from the Midwest. After I saw the "where are they now?" section, and MASMC popped up, I had to do a double take, especially with your last name. Go fig.

I know I would visit your webpage.
