OT: OUR TOWN was absolutely fantastic! It was fascinating and very touching. It really shows us that people are... people and unique, and that race is simply the place where you are from. It doesn't assign who you are. A definite MUST see FOR EVERYONE!!
I agree--surprisingly interesting to watch, and their creative interpretation of a very old and familiar script was phenomenal. Hopefully those kids will do exactly as their teacher predicted they will do in 15 or 20 years--come back and see the drama department going strong, and say "I started that, I was part of the very first group!"
It would be terrific if some of the kids also decided to pursue artistic careers. They had some great raw talent among the cast and who knows what they could become if they stay with it.
Thanks to the teachers who believed in the idea and in the kids--teachers change the world, every day, and they should be the people we worship as heroes and stars. I hope they get a chance to read the comments here and realize they really did something great.
