Whats with all the obsession about being BLONDE in the west??

1-was just wondering if it is something that most of you guys really prefer when it comes to the feminine beauty? or is it just another hyped-up thing by your fashion industry because its (almost) only a caucasian/european trait (as most of the asian/middle-eastern (and the rest of the world)is hardly blond??

2-i knw it would sound crazy but for some odd reason (and when i only have the option of judging people by their looks) i end up taking blonds lightly and give more importance to dark haired peeps instead (in my head), now i don't know whether its because i live in a society where only "dolls" are blonds or i have this pre-conceived notion that a "typical" human being is always dark haired (you know the way they mostly show in drawings etc etc)

e.g i always end up giving more respect to a character like pacino over Philip Seymour Hoffman or a george clooney over brad unless & untill i have seen the blond guys like hoffman and brad perform the way they do !!

so i was wondering if i am the only "hairy racist" here or any of those who live in "multi-haired";) society have the some weird tendencies?

cheers

Because it is rare to be a natural blonde. Unless you live in a geographic area where blonde hair is prevalent. Eurocentric beauty standards are still very prevalent in many places across the world, unfortunately. That is why blonde hair, blue or green eyes, narrow noses, and lighter skin are all favored.
