Jennifer Coolidge/Paulette and Bruce Thomas/UPS Guy, are sitting on a park bench and Paulette says "and i finely got my hot dog ",and she eating one, what does that mean and refer too in the story..

At the beginning when Elle is getting ready to go to Washington, Paulette says "you look just like the 4th of July...it makes me want a hot dog real bad!"
