It's about time that Hollywood remade the 1987 classic Three Men and a Baby with a hip-hop urban cast. The new movie My Baby's Daddy did a good job of replacing the original stars with modern deadbeat dads. Three Men and a Baby had the unfunny Steve Guttenberg; My Baby's Daddy has the unfunny Eddie Griffin. Instead of the bald Ted Danson, the new movie has the fat Anthony Anderson. Finally, the greasy P.I., Tom Selleck, gets replaced by the greasy Soprano, Michael Imperioli.
In My Baby's Daddy, Eddie Griffin, Anthony Anderson, and Michael Imperioli star as Lonnie, G, and Dominic, three boyz n the hood who knock up three girls with their wood. Now these gangstas must trade in their guns for toys, their reefer for baby formula, and their street cred for a load of Huggies (no pun intended). The laughs continue when these inexperienced fathers try to feed their babies and get spit up on, try to change their diapers and get peed on, and try to go on a drive-by shooting and get shot at. Unplanned pregnancy never sounded so fun.
It's good to know that Hollywood is finally changing racial stereotypes in the new year. Usually, blacks are portrayed as unintelligent, jive-talkin', pot smokin' criminals who don't care how many kids they have. In My Baby's Daddy, the blacks are portrayed as unintelligent, jive-talkin', pot smokin' criminals who DO care how many kids they have. Italian-Americans are still portrayed as the dirty greaseballs that they are.
