What about Richard Kline?

Why wasn't he made a part of this? He helped the show's continuity along during the Chrissy/Cindy/Terri transition years. For that matter, what about Anne Wedgeworth (Lana)? Thanks.

I think they showed the actor for Richard Kline/Larry Dallas at one of the party rooms durring the 100th episode party and with the cast when they bowed to the audience at their final episode. But I didn't see him at one of the episodes shown on the tv-movie.

I read that they cut Larry out of the movie to keep the focus on the main three actors. There was a lot of story to cover, which is why Lana, Cindy, and Terri weren't featured.
I read an interview with Richard Kline when the movie came out, and he gave the actors high marks for their portrayals. I felt they were pretty good, except for the actor playing Don Knotts. He looked too young, and was presented as a clueless dweeb.

He was presented as though Don Knotts acted like Ralph Furley in real life. It looks like they found a very good Don Knotts impersonator and wanted to showcase his talents, and they did this at the expense of finding someone of the approperate age and having the actor act like the actor.

Why are the most tolerant the easiest to offend?

Maybe Richard Kline was the kind of guy who showed up for work, kept his mouth shut and minded his own business.

Ann Wedgeworth played Lana Shields for only one season. And her role dwindled as season four progressed.
