Sam Elliot

I've always been a big fan of Sam Elliot, but it seems like for this film they could have saved a lot of money by casting a potato to play the part of Charley. And it would have been just as good.

Many small Indie films get made when a well known star or actor appear in it for a percentage of any profits rather than a big salary. Maybe he received nothing but drew in some people who might not have watched otherwise.

Watch Sundance channel sometime for interviews of people like that at the festival in Utah.

Clearly you are not a "big fan" of Sam Elliot. I have watched incredibly stupid movies (not referring to this one) just to look at him. As gorgeous as he was when I caught my first glimpse of him in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, 44 years ago, he has only improved with age. I actually met my husband because of his resemblance to Sam Elliot. We both attended a "look alike party".

Have you actually taken a good look at him? Sorry, I just realized your name is John. Never mind......
