You must read this!!

I really love this movie. I think the two leads play it so well and totally draw you into their story and the time they spend together, it's a really nice film to watch. I recently read a book by a new Scottish writer which put put me in mind of The Notebook, it's called Calderpark Avenue by Jack Williams, it's funny and vibrant and an enjoyable read.

Here's a link for it:

James is a shy, smart, witty, lazy 17 year old rock fan from a small town in Scotland with ambitions of being a rock star with his band Kinetic. He travels to England with his friends to watch his favourite band perform at the Reading festival in 1990. During the gig he meets the girl of his dreams and they spend the evening together. The girl is Erin, she is 18 and from Nottingham, England. She is a mystical confident, sharp, witty feminist who harbours similar ambitions to James, she envisions a life of enthralling audiences with her solo folk music career. At the end of the gig they vow to meet each other 6 months later back at the spot where they spent such a good time together. Will they meet?

A story for anyone who likes music or has ever been in love.
