Are there any books,movies,series about this particular subject?I'm talking about the subject of unrequited love that could last for decades,even for a lifetime.

Rent the movie Last Night. It stars Keira Knightly and it's about the one that got away coming back for one night and what would you do. It's wonderfully written and very powerful performances.
