Have seen parts of the Notebook dozens of times but never the whole movie. Tonight I saw the first hour and fifteen minutes when I was called away. I had to leave when they are first in the old mansion and laying down on a blanket and his friend comes in to warn them that her parents are out looking for her. I was able to come back about 25 minutes later. Did they ever have sex before she went away or not? Thanks anyone for letting me know and no, I did not read the book. Love this story & all the actors but I won't read the book.

No they left the house as soon as his friend told them allie parents had the police out looking for her. When she arrived home she fought with her parents her mother claiming he was trash which Noah heard and he went to leave making him and allie break up. Her family leaves the next morning.

I think they did because when they reunite 7 years later after they have sex she says is this what I've been missing all these years ?

They did. When they reunite later and she's walking thru the house, she goes up to the dining table and said "is this where we.." and he says yes.

What capped a beautiful movie, for me, was I really didn't know until she returned whether she was going to pick Noah or Lon. Until we saw, it could have gone either way. A testament to how well the movie told the story.
