James Marsden

I know a lot of people love this movie and think Ryan Gosling looks gorgeous in it. He certainly does. But people don't give James Marsden enough credit. He looks beautiful in this movie and you can really tell how much he loves Allie which makes it hard to root against him.

James Marsden was adorable in this film. He was a good man and it was hard to root against him. Especially after Allie confessed to him and he was very sweet about the whole thing.

Not saying Allie was a terrible person, but I think he deserved someone else. It was clear Allie was in love with Lon but loved Noah more. He needed to be with someone that was in love with him just as much as he would be in love with her.

Lon was an absolute sweetie pie to Allie. Allie was lucky. She had two adorably sweet men fighting for her..!!!

Lon was obviously from wealth and seemed to have been raised with a sense of humility.

Just look at his mannerisms. He has confidant, but also has a bit of empathy for the people around him. And as a rich guy he went after one of the most dangerous jobs during WWII...don't know what he flew, but flying over France and Germany took a lot of guts. Draft deferments were available for the rich, but he joined up with the Greatest Generation.

We see him working at his office. He was getting cotton reports from his area managers. There were some numbers way below their goal, yet he was matter of fact with his people and never screamed and hollered. (You can get that info off the board)

Lon was raised with class and dignity being a must for him.
