Their First Date

Does anyone else think that was kind of creepy for Ben to stick around after she was getting sick? I can understand getting her in bed and getting her something to drink, but to clean the bathroom and then stay over??? What does everyone else think?

I'm willing to bet by your user name and the question that you're a guy. I'm also willing to bet that no girl would ask that question.

I just watched the movie for the first time on NBC's hulu .com. I liked it very much. It is a great date/couple movie. I plan on re-watching it with my wife. I have it unopened on DVD for that viewing.

Not creepy at all, however:

"Winter Ben" would stay to clean up the vomit and brush the dog's teeth.

"Summer Ben" would stay if no home RED SOX game was being missed.

Yes it was totally creepy, especially the part where he undressed her. Gross.

Well, as a guy, I think it was a little odd. Putting myself in that position, I certainly wouldn't undress her, nor would I brush the dog's teeth...ack. I might clean up the puke with a paper towel or two and put her in bed with what she had on.

Sleeping on the couch probably wouldn't be too out of line. I mean, it's kind of a weird spot. If she's really that out of it, it might be better to stick around.

End of the world? So what.

If you consider how long they have known each other at this point, they are practically strangers.......so, yes, a little creepy.

Well said. The fact that Ben stuck around and cared for her is one reason I love this movie.

I think the sentiment is nice, but the fact that they she did not know him at all and only met once does make it a little creepy.

Insta-lay. Good move ben.

Because of the way he is as person it doesn't come across as creepy but rather really sweet, and I just loved him from that moment onward :)
