I went back and found the exact quote in case you were curious...

Well think about it,her character is a bit of a air head,with little in the way of disipline,and in comes this older experienced man,who is very disiplined,and seems to have his life mapped out day by day,to a young girl like barb,i can see whay she finds that attractive.

shareelectric- It actually IS quite common for younger women to be attracted to men 20 or more years older, esp. if it's an older guy who still looks good and has taken care of himself. 35 isn't "too old" to date women in their early 20's. I was 35 when I met the woman who'd eventually become my wife; she was 23 and was actually more ready to get serious than I was at the time. Maybe (and don't take this the wrong way) they're just using age as an excuse; it's probably something else.
And,FWIW, "ewww!" as a response to anything should be reserved for girls aged 12-17...OK maybe 18.
I had a serious problem when I was a teenager, because when my girlfriends started getting boyfriends I found boys my own age to be extremely
off-putting. So at 15 I was attracted to men of 35+. At 31, I am mostly attracted to men of about 40-45. I like macho men with life experience. :)
I also happen to find Tommy Lee Jones very, very sexy at 60+.

With that response, I think you just gave us a glimpse of your problem. Regardless of your age, you just don't seem very sharp. One of the things that make guys 35+ attractive is that they know better (or at least they should). In your case, you just don't.
