In this movie they are all gorgeous, and focused on maintaining that beauty (through dieting, skincream, et cetera).
It will be fun to see how long that lasts as these beauties grow older & fatter. (Some already look a little porky.) Beauty is ephemeral, like a rose wilting & fading.
How long will the beauty last? 5 years? 10 years tops. Only personality lasts.
I don't understand why the director couldn't find any younger, college age actresses for the cheerleaders. All but one of them are 24 +, one is 31 (Paula Garces - I was like yeah, she looks like she's in college, uh-huh). Back in the 70s, 80s, cheerleader movies had a lot of younger girls, but they got away from hiring them for some reason.
I saw Paula Garces in the movie "ClockStoppers" released in 2002 when she was 28 in age playing a 16 year old girl and I found her acting convincing enough that she was a teenager in high school. And you are correct that she was 31 in real life when she appeared in "Man Of The House." This actress has a very youthful look and she does look much younger than her real age. She is also quite lovely and talented.
O.P. couldn't be more wrong. Even at the time this movie was made Ann Archer was beautiful as heck at the age of 57, and is just as beautiful now at 64. The youngsters are going to be fine looking for a good number of years.
