Explain, Please?

Can anyone explain the storyline to me? I've watched it once without subtitles, my japanese is very limited so I only picked up a few basic phrases but other than that I had no clue what was going on but to enjoy the visual effects.

If your Japanese is poor, why would you watch it without subtitles?

**MAJOR SPOILERS**

basically, the guy you saw at the beginning was in prison for killing a few guys who raped his girlfriend, but survived execution. he was then given the choice to live or die, and chose to live. in turn he was put into a cell with a rapist/female killer to induce anger. the girl in the cell beside theirs had an "isomer" inside of her, kind of like a virus, that transferred through living organisms by way of anger/bloodlust. this is why they chose the cell mates as they did. pretty much any time you saw the few people in the little room, that's what they were talking about. also, the female scientist was the sister of the girl in the experiment. then, the guys who came in about half way through were military men who came in to interupt the experiment to get "the ultimate weapon." the isomer had transferred to tenshu, and he felt as if he was already dead on paper (after the execution) so he might as well take this disease/virus to the grave with him... and that's when the last half-hour or so kicks in.

heh, hope that helped.

i'm lost to, i just watched it 5 minutes ago give or take a minute, and i'm LOST, all that i gathered was he chose between execution to go free only the freedom was a test, and after that...i get confused. not to mention the subtitles were HORRIBLE...i had to stop it every time some one said some thing and put together a sentence that actually made sense.
