'liquid sugar' in egg nog ...LOL

They did a segment on Safeway's egg nog and they were afraid of offending the all-powerful HFCS syndicate (HFCS is in everything, look at the ingredients on a package of bread for example). They referred to high-fructose corn syrup as "liquid sugar". Why not just call it HFCS?

Various derivations of corn are among the first ingredients in almost all products you find in the grocery store. Why? Because it is a cheap filler product, and the cost of growing corn is heavily subsidized by the american taxpayer, thanks to powerful corn industry lobbyists in D.C.

So enjoy your HFCS eggnog, even though the chef who showed how to make it in the segment used real granulated sugar, the way it should be made.
