Yeah.

Everything from vol. 8 on up.
No Shuichi getting kidnapped to the U.S., no Reiji, no Yoshiki Kitazawa, no pandabot. None of that stuff.

Well, I guess it's a good thing I bought the manga series! I heard that the manga covers more about K's life (wife and child, I think??) than the anime, is that true? I love K!

Yep, that's true. His wife ends up being in the story a lot for a couple of the volumes.

I think that it would have been quite interesting if they had adapted the other volumes in the manga series, into an anime also. I'd like to have seen their take on the various characters that appear later on in the manga series.

You do that, Booklover. I'd hate for a good plot twist to be spoiled for you here at the boards.

Yeah, I have always kind of hoped that the anime would come out with a second season made up of the rest of the manga volumes. But I don't think that will happen (it has been awhile).
However, a new anime based on the manga (like what they are doing with Hellsing*) would be nice.

*Hellsing (a good vampire story, I think) was made into a 13 episode anime a few years ago, but now they are remaking a new ova series for it based on the original manga, and I got to thinking that if we don't get a second season of Gravitaton, least they could just make a new one that covers more or all of the volumes.

They had a similar approach with "Ah My Goddess!". First of all, releasing a five episode OVA based on the first few manga. Later on, they revisioned the OVA into a 26 episode series, that also spawned a second series, "Ah My Goddess: Flights of Fancy". As far as I know, the revisioned series followed pretty much all of the manga, up until about volume 6 [maybe later. ]

It would be good if they could do a second series of Gravition, in a similar approach. Afterall, we have the Gravitation OVA , Which is set after the main anime series.
